Who Can Give Blood?

Eligibility

- Do you weigh 110 pounds or more?
- Are you generally in good health?

If you answered "Yes to these three, simple questions, then you can probably donate blood – most people can!

Just 56 Days

After making a blood donation, you need only wait 56 days before making another.

Most donors only give once or twice a year, though they can give up to six times per year. If every donor gave a minimum of twice a year, there would never be any seasonal blood shortages.

Please Bring ID

When you come to donate blood, please bring some form of identification. An American Red Cross blood donor card, a driver’s license or a work place ID are all acceptable options.
