What should I expect when I donate?
Donating blood is safe, simple and takes about one hour from start to finish. Here are the steps in the donation process:

  • Registration - Complete a form and show us your donor card or another valid for of ID with proof of your age.
  • Mini-physical – We will check your pulse, temperature, blood pressure and iron to make sure it is safe for you to give blood.
  • Confidential health history – A staff member will discuss your health and travel history with you in a private setting.
  • Donating – Actual donation time is about eight to 12 minutes.
  • Refreshments – Relax and enjoy a snack and some juice.
