DONATE BLOOD OR PLATELETS WITH THE RED CROSS AFTER THE NEW YEAR

GEORGIA’S BIGGEST BLOOD DRIVE RUNS JANUARY 2, 3 AND 4

(Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005) ATLANTA – While the Red Cross Blood Services is encouraging you to celebrate New Year’s Eve in style, they’d like for you to remember to get at least a little sleep during the holidays. You’ll need to be well rested to come in and donate at Georgia’s Biggest Blood Drive, which is being held in conjunction the WSB-TV Family 2 Family Project, on January 2, 3 and 4. The holidays are especially difficult for the Red Cross because schools, which account for 15 percent of donations, are out and people are on vacation. The blood drive will be at several area malls and all metro Atlanta donor centers. All participants will receive a coupon from Chick-fil-A for a free chicken sandwich (while supplies last).
