American Red Cross Southeast Division-VIP '08

What happens when I become a VIP LifeSaver?
The American Red Cross will track your 2009 donations. By early February 2010, the American Red Cross will send those donors who met their 2009 commitment a thank-you card, a commemorative t-shirt, and a 2009 VIP LifeSaver lapel pin. Gold VIP LifeSaver donors will also receive an additional special commemorative gift.

How many donations must I give to qualify?
The VIP program offers a Gold and Silver level for blood and platelet donations. Donors are eligible to give either types of products to qualify. Here are the programs and commitment levels for each program:

• Blood: Donate 5 or more units to be a Gold VIP donor or a minimum of 3 units to be a Silver VIP donor.

• Platelets: Donate 8 or more units to be a Gold VIP donor or a minimum of 4 units to be a Silver VIP donor.

NOTE: Donors can sign up for one or both programs. Automated Double Red Cell donations count as two (2) donations.
